Moby Wrap Original Baby Carrier Review

Moby Wrap Is the Best! The Moby Wrap Original 100% Cotton Solid Baby Carrier is just as secure as any other baby carrier and it’s cheaper that almost all of them.

Moby Wrap Is the Best!

I really like the Moby Wrap Original 100% Cotton Solid Baby Carrier because I have always been a fan of wrap around carriers that somehow remind me of ancient methods of carrying the baby. Call me old-fashioned, but when I see all the adjustments, belts, clicks and other fancy thing of different types of carriers I get pretty turned off. After all, carrying your baby should be done the natural way, not in a hole bunch of technological ‘improved’ products.

The Moby Wrap Original 100% Cotton Solid Baby Carrier is just as secure as any other baby carrier and it’s cheaper that almost all of them. You can easily distribute your baby’s weight both on your back and on your shoulders with it’s wrap around parts, and because it covers most of the back part with a thick piece of cotton material, it will make your 20 pound toddler seem as light as a newborn.

The unique shape surprisingly offers support for babies that weight up to 35 pounds, so the Moby Wrap Original 100% Cotton Solid Baby Carrier is the only carrier you’ll ever buy, since it gets you well into the toddler years. Your child will loose interest in this type of bond before the outgrows the carrier, that’s for sure.

I love this product, and since I’ve bought it I realized that it even helps me relax my back muscles while carrying my daughter around. And she loves it even more, because she gets to be with mommy every step of the way. There is a special bond we are building here, even when I’m busy setting the dinner table or cleaning the yard. She goes with me everywhere, and because it’s 100% natural, we will be using it during the summer as well. There is truly nothing this great I could’ve gotten for this money.

Happy owner,

Mary S.

Baby Carrier Buying Advice

A baby carrier is an ideal accessory for both parents to use to keep baby close, but be able to have hands free for tasks at the same time. The baby is physically close to you, which makes her, feel secure and loved. Baby carriers also give mom or dad their own level of comfort knowing baby is safe and right there while they go about the business at hand.

Our Baby Carriers Buying Advice Guide is designed to give you some information about why baby carriers might be an ideal purchase for you and your family and to present some guidelines for parents who are interested in purchasing a baby carrier.

Parents of a baby almost always have a stroller on hand for walks, trips to the mall, or going to the park.  However, a stroller must be pushed, allowing mom or dad no freedom to do anything else.  A baby carrier allows for more freedom for the adult carrying the baby.  Mothers use carriers to keep baby close to them while doing housework, making lunch for the other children in the family, or simply for walking around the mall with friends.  Dads can don the baby carrier too; giving wives a break for a time, and spending time bonding with the baby.

Guidelines for Baby Carriers

Both of you, adult and baby, should be comfortable when the carrier is in use.  Make sure to try the carrier on for size before purchasing one simply for looks or price.  If a carrier doesn’t fit well, you won’t wear it anyway.

Fabric carriers are very easily kept clean because they can be put into the washing machine or wiped down.  Keeping your carrier clean is important for your baby’s health.

There are several different styles of baby carriers.  Make sure if you’ll be using the carrier on your own the majority of the time that you can safely get it off and on with baby inside.  If you’re unable to manipulate the carrier on your own, look for another style.

Each style or model of baby carrier is designed to safely carry a baby of a certain age and or size, so be sure to check the specifications prior to purchase.  Most parents find that a baby carrier is ideal until the child reaches about 40 to 45 pounds.  If at any time before that, you or baby is uncomfortable, then it is time to look at a backpack or stroller.

Styles of Baby Carriers

The front carrier style is a popular style used for newborns and infants weighing up to 30 pounds.  This design of baby carrier allows you to have your infant in full view at all times, but allows you to have your hands free at the same time.  A front carrier may work well for you simply moving around the house, or for taking your daily walk around the neighborhood.

Slings are another style of baby carrier that has gained in popularity over the last few years.  Slings are basically a specially designed piece of fabric that fits over the adult’s torso, securing baby to the adult safely.  Mothers often use slings to not only transport their baby around, but for nursing purposes in public places.

Backpacks are the next step up when it comes to styles of baby carriers.  See our Baby Backpacks Buying Advice Guide for more information and tips on this style of carrier.

This Baby Carriers Buying Advice Guide is in no way comprehensive when it comes to explaining baby carriers, but it does give parents an idea of what is available and a few guidelines for purchase as well.
